The Met is home to a magnificent menagerie created by artists and artisans through the millennia and around the world. This adorable nylon backpack, complete with a laptop compartment, is inspired by a selection of awesome animals in the Museum’s galleries, from a formidable Egyptian Sphinx of Hatshepsut (ca. 1479–1458 B.C.) to a Greek statue of a fierce lion (ca. 400–390 B.C.) and a pretty parrot-shaped finial (17th–18th century) made in Northern India.
