These die-cut shadow-box cards animate four distinctive birds from by John Jay Audubon (American, 1785–1851). Whether you use them to correspond with nature lovers or art aficionados, these clever, graphic cards will be a welcome “pop-up” surprise to your recipients.
An artist, an observer of nature, and (most famously) a birdwatcher, Audubon made 435 watercolor paintings for his pioneering 1839 publication. Four exquisite lithographs by John T. Bowen, after Audubon, provide the inspiration for the inventive notecards in our set. Featuring a creative shadowbox format for each, these cards offer a unique new take on celebrated illustrations that meticulously and beautifully depict birds in their natural habitats.
