Unique stationery for art-lovers.
A tribute to a classic color palette, this artful set celebrates a selection of blue-and-white ceramic treasures in The Met collection: a 14th-century Chinese plate painted with rocks, plants, and melons; a late 17th-century Japanese dish with cranes; a Japanese dish with fans floating on a stream (ca. 1730–1760s); a tile (ca. 1875) by the British designer Christopher Dresser (British, 1834–1904) for Minton(s) (British, 1793–present); and a Dutch dish with flowers and birds (ca. 1660). The iconic trend of cobalt-painted porcelain originated in China during the 14th century and swiftly became one of the most revelatory innovations in global ceramics, adapted by artisans through time and around the world.
