Egyptian Feather Motif Coated Canvas Tote

Our coated canvas tote reinterprets the eye-catching feather pattern on a glass inlay (200 B.C–A.D. 100) from Egypt in The Met collection. The use of a mosaic technique facilitated multiples of an image on the original; a figural or design composition was made by bundling colored glass canes, drawn out into a long bar which was then sectioned at right angles to produce small inlay tiles.
