The delicate butterflies on this protective laptop sleeve evoke the detailing on a late 19th–early 20th-century Chinese tapestry-woven, or kesi, jacket in The Met collection. The original Qing dynasty–era (1644–1911) garment is embroidered with butterflies made of silk and metallic thread.
