Our colorful watch evokes an iridescent Favrile vase (ca. 1900) by Louis Comfort Tiffany (American, 1848–1933). In the early 1890s, the Gilded Age designer developed a proprietary method of blending colors in glass while it was in a molten state. He called the results “Favrile,” and he was justly celebrated for it.
