A section of an ancient Egyptian necklace in the Museum’s collection (Middle Kingdom, Dynasty 12, ca. 1878–1840 B.C.) features colorful cylindrical beads made of gold, lapis lazuli, and turquoise. This provides the basis for our striking earrings.
