This artful zip pouch features a detail of Vincent van Gogh’s (Dutch, 1853–1890) iconic Self-Portrait with a Straw Hat (1887) in The Met collection. While living in Paris from 1886 to 1888, Van Gogh produced more than 20 self-portraits. Lacking funds, he bought a mirror and used himself as a subject in order to pursue the art of figure painting without having to pay fees to a model.
